I Only Know That I Know Nothing

IOKTIKN used to be hosted on Substack, but I figured out pretty quickly that Substack as a platform is pseudo-intellectual cancer. Not to mention, there's major Twitter-esque elements of the platform that for me render it unusable. I've been wanting to migrate to self-hosting IOKTIKN for a while, but knew that it was going to be a bit of work and put it off because of how easy Substack makes the blogging process. Unfortunately, this ease of use is what caused its mass migration of pseuds, so I knew that I needed to get out of that ecosystem as quickly as I could. To me though, it wasn't quick enough. But I do feel glad that I am finally out of that shit hole for good.

I'm going to take some of my pieces that were on Substack and migrate them here for posterity. There were some pieces that I still enjoy, particularly my fiction, but there's some that I don't feel as proud of. I'm not proud of a lot of the essays on there because I didn't have the same level of endurance and follow-through that I do now, so I'll keep some of the ones that I thought were good, but most of them I'll probably just scrap along with the rest of my Substack publication and profile.

So with that, please enjoy these pieces. I hope to make as many of them as I can and have a strong portfolio for whatever comes next.
