Fat guy does a water fast for 55 days. He only lost like 45 lbs, which is insane. I'd think one would lose a lot more, but the numbers don't lie. As of writing this entry, I am on day 3 of a fast myself. (Update: I made it through 5 days.) I'm only doing water, coffee, gum, and hard candy. I'm also taking all my usual supplements and medications still. This was inspiring. Also, the guy who made this documentary is from Greenville, TX and I've been there tons of times. Small world!
Track the NYC subway system, and take each movement from every train and turn it into a free form jazz piece. Super epic and based!
Watch a simulated desktop environment of 9/11 happening in real time. Crazy stuff.
Haha, I remember my first day in the infohazard department.
Your Face is a Saxophone: a bizarre animated series satirizing the advertising industry. I remember watching this when I was a young kid, and was sad to see that it couldn't take off. Shit was funny, man.
This NPR Interview with Terrace Martin was really good, but I am disappointed that he censors himself when referring to Christ for obvious reasons. He grew up Evangelical, he knows the Lord's name, but can't find himself to say it. When I think of my own relationship to The Media, it pains me how subtle and covert Christian persecution is. Of course, any group that stands for what they believe in faces persecution; none of us are invulnerable to that. But Terrace is a Christian, and I expect more from someone in the faith opposed to someone outside of it. I pray that the Lord gives Terrace and other people with larger platforms to be unafraid to say Christ's name out in the open. People talk shit about Ye being a Nazi or some kind of provocateur hack, but at least he made Jesus is King. Terrace wants to talk about his "spiritual mission," but he doesn't have a concept for how dangerous that mission actually is.
Jazz 24 has become my favorite jazz radio station to listen to. Great mix of old hits and contemporary favorites.
Ever thought about staging an accident with an 18-wheeler to get a fat insurance payout? Well, some folks in the Big Easy did, and it, uh, didn't go so well.
"No one you love is ever dead." Thanks Ernest, very cool!
